Elder Scrolls Online PS4, Xbox One and PC Release News

Today it has been announced that Bethesda’s MMO The Elder Scrolls Online will be released on June 9 on PS4 and Xbox One and that was not the only big announcement, the monthly subscription to play has been scrapped across all platforms.

With an updated title “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited”, all current content will be included with the June release on consoles ” this means you will also get the new Justice and Champion systems.” That is a lot of game coming your way for the one off payment (that is still to be announced).

The Windows version is set to go live on March 17 but do not worry if you have already purchased this on PC as all current players will be automatically moved over to the new version through an update at no extra price.

There will be a premium service available called ESO Plus, with the premium service you will get exclusive in-game bonuses including access to all DLC packs ( so for all you one off payers get ready to dip your hands back in your pockets in the future!). You will also receive monthly “Crowns” which will be the premium currency in the world.

I originally purchased this on PC when it first came out and have a lot of love for this game and the world that was at your fingertips. Shamefully the only thing that put me off was the monthly cost. At times I wasn’t able to dedicate the time to the game and felt the cost wasted. Now hearing a one of payment is available makes me a happy adventurer indeed and I will be very much looking to getting back into everything this has to offer.
