Techland have announced that Dying Light will not receive Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 versions.
It seems that the older consoles would not be able to handle the fluidity of the free-running aspect of the game along with the open world structure. That’s on top of the lighting and physics element which the new models seem to cope with better.
Techland went on to say “after thorough internal testing, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to leave past-gen systems behind and release Dying Light exclusively on the next-gen consoles and PC”.
“Put simply, other consoles just couldn’t run the game and stay true to the core vision of Dying Light at the same time.”
Sad times for those of you who were looking forward to this. When I tested it at EGX, I did enjoy it and now will seriously consider getting it on the 30th January for PS4.
