The Internet is alive with details of a recent update to the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 news. Claire Redfield has been announced to feature in this title with a new character named… Moira Burton, if this name sounds familiar to you then it should, she is the daughter of the famous Barry Burton (staring at that Python with the words “I have this” good times.) The release is looking to include a single-player and co-op campaign where Moria will be providing the backup to Claire. According to reports Burton is now a fully fledged zombie killer.
This title is set to take place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6. The start of this game will see both characters trapped on an abandoned island prison (Why does this sound so familiar). According to producer Micheteru Okabe you will be facing a new type of undead horror known as the Afflicted, Supposedly looking like the good old zombie types they are being hinted as being a lot more of a problem to deal with, the gamble being on whether you get up close and personal, remove them from a distance or just avoid them all together.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set to be released in early 2015 on Playstation, Xbox and Windows. Keep your eyes peeled as you are about to be taken back to the original Survival Horror routes and that my friends is exactly what we like to hear. Credit goes to Push-Start-Play for the images
It appears that Moria from what we can see in the images does not have use of a gun but a torch, this could make survival interesting but it does look like the enemies have a problem with light.
Well it looks like we are being granted the same amount of gore and body parts as the previous Revelations game… Yummy!
Lock picking eh? Well that could be interesting, I do miss the “Small Keys” of the old days. Again… that is a hell of a lot of gore.
