Amidst all the Smash Bros. leaks going around recently, many people missed the news that this stream was taking place. Early this morning during a special Famitsu stream the Pokemon Company, together with Namco Bandai, have revealed a new Pokemon game, further from its RPG roots than any other Pokemon title. Already being dubbed ‘Pokemon X Tekken’ this new title is what many fans have been asking for years – a Pokemon fighting game!
The teaser trailer, shown below, shows two fighting type Pokemon, Lucario and Machamp, battling it out in an impressive fashion.
While little information is available at this point in time, we do know that Namco’s lead Tekken and Soulcalibur producers, Katsuhiro Harada and Masaaki Hoshino respectively, are both personally involved in the development of this project. More details are planned for next week’s installment of Famitsu.
Pokkén Tournament is expected to land in Japanese arcades sometime in 2015.
